WHAT THE LAND REMEMBERS

What the Land remembers brings together community around cultural dishes. In these gatherings art and food create an experience from which we tell stories that transpose us across geographies.

In “AKABWALI” Aaron Mulenga and Nkonde Chileshe speak about the the corn seed, we grind it to  meal through stories of  resistance, identity, and the heartbeat of the Zambian people.

“An Afternoon with Grapvine” Guided by Palestinain Chef Noura Al Hariri we roll grape leaves with stories around communality, insistence, and renewal. We use the grapevine to make charcoal, to medidate on greif and transformation.
